This Modern Calligraphy class that I just signed up for on Skillshare!
It's taught by the uber talented Molly Jacques and just happens to check off #75 on my list of 101 Things to do in 1001 Days.

Something I've been cooking and loving:

This Tortilla Pie recipe from Martha...who else?  I substitute turkey for the beef, smother it in salsa, and it's oh so delicious!

Something you just have to see:

This incredible video...sea life is so cool!  

Something I'm reading:

This e-book about starting a small business.

Something I think our apartment needs:

Three Days in the District

1. The MLK Monument.  An impressive new addition to our capital city!  
2. Dinner at Graffiato by Mike Isabella of Top Chef
3. Love the geometry of the ceiling in the Metro tunnel
4. Rosemary fries at Good Stuff by Spike Mendelsohn of Top Chef
5. The spectacular ceiling in the Library of Congress
6. The Vietnam Wall, such a timeless tribute
7. Kermit the Frog at the Smithsonian (I miss the Muppet Show!)
8. Astronaut ice cream from the museum of air and space
9. The Capital on a gorgeous day
10. Stunning obelisk spiral staircase at the Supreme Court
11. The White House...so strange that a family actually lives there
12. A special grave at Arlington National Cemetery.  Such a great reminder of how much has been sacrificed for our freedom.  

A fabulous weekend all around!  Great weather, great food, great family, great sights!  How was your weekend?

My Weekend in Photos

1. Cocktails and burgers at the Husk Bar...oh and some fried pickles!
2. Used my new handbag for the first time.  Perfect camera bag if you are looking for something much cuter than a camera bag...and SO well priced for the size and quality!
3. Sunset stroll with my boys.  It was a beautiful weekend in Charleston!
4. Got a new tripod for my camera!  So excited to start taking interior photos!
5. Blue Bell ice cream.  So delicious!  Why don't they sell this stuff on the west coast?
6. Turkey meatloaf with sriracha glaze (Thank you Natalie for the idea! Sriracha really does make everything better.)
7. Found a new iPhone game and wasted plenty of time playing it with Rebecca.
8. Discovered the best dog deshedding tool ever! (Thank you Karen for the recommendation!) A bit pricey, but totally worth it!
