Halston at Fashion Island

It is always exciting when a new fashion house opens a store in my neighborhood, and the Halston opening was one I was excited for.  Even more exciting, is that Erika from Small Shop Studio sent me a little invite and we would finally get a chance to meet in person.  I think that is something that every blogger gets excited for - in person meetings!

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I was recently complaining about only wanting to purchase party shoes and party dresses, yet I do not seem to have enough (aka ANY) parties to go to.  I  blame my constant desire on high school.  Having a dance, every 3 months, and a whole new party outfit purchased for such occasion for 4 years really sticks with a girl. 

I digress.

Anyways, I decided to throw on my favorite little beaded number and my Chloe python heels (that I have never worn) and go for little walk around town.  Happiness achieved.

It is still not quite cool enough in Southern California to really have a fall moment, but I needed to bust out my boots. This was the perfect outfit to meet up with my girlfriend for happy hour. Its feminine yet it makes me feel like a bit of a boho - bad girl.  Perfect for drinks and a lot of gossip!

I know that all trends are cyclical, but really?  Are scrunchies coming back?

Oh, one more thing...this Missoni scrunchie is $95!  (Yes, you read that right...Missoni is making scrunchies and they sell for $95!)

This is a look I'm not sure I'm ready to start seeing again.

Marc Says Goodbye

You always know a Louis Vuitton show is going to be amazing with Marc Jacobs behind it, however how was he going to top himself for his last show with the fashion house?

He would combine all of his memorable moments into one final black swan song.

Isabel Marant x H&M

If you are living under a rock, there is a chance that you havent seen the newest H&M designer collab with Isabel Marant. I am drooling. Even after my horrible experience with 3.1 Phillip Lim x Target, I am anxiously waiting to get my hands on fringe boots, printed tunics, and chunky knits. Here are a few of my favorite looks modeled by some of the best names in the business.

Party Dresses & Portraits

I had been wanting to make the trek to vintage mecca Shareen Vintage ever since I saw her reality show on television.  A warehouse full of goodies that Shareen herself digs up and saves from the forgotten corners of peoples closets or donations heaps.  With it being such an open space where girls strip down in the open like in a Loehmanns dressing room, you cannot help but love that it is even more of a girly playground due to the rule of "No Boys Allowed."

That is why when Bri from designlovefest was holding an event there, I knew I had to go.  Cocktails, vintage dresses and pictures...yes please!

I felt "Gone with the Wind Fabulous" in this number...now twirl, twirl, twirl!

This pink striped number made me feel like I was on a sugar high!
